At EHISA we also have a Nursery and Reception section, where we prepare the ‘little ones’ for their next formal stage, Primary School.

Nursery: There are two groups, 12-24 months and 24-36 months

Kindergarten 1or Pre-School: 3 – 4 years

Kindergarten 2 or Reception: 4 – 5 years

For the Reception stage, we follow a programme that is in line with the National Curriculum of England that covers English, Mathematics, Science, Arts/Crafts, Physical Education and Music. Some books are recommended by University of Cambridge International Examinations Syndicate and are carefully integrated into our curriculum. We even teach the children the Arabic alphabet to stimulate their unexposed language capabilities.

Our overall aims for the Foundation Stage is to enable our children to become independent, develop awareness on social aspects, to encourage them to gain knowledge and skills; and more importantly is to introduce learning in an ‘enjoyable way’.
