Dear
Parents/Guardians,
I am pleased and
honoured to have this opportunity to thank every one
including our EHISA people, for their tremendous efforts in
realising our ambition. EHISA has now gained the Cambridge
International Examination Centre status, and the membership
of the Cambridge International Primary Programme.
Why CIE?
University of
Cambridge International Examinations is committed to the
delivery of the highest possible standards in education and
assessment. CIE also aims to provide support to our school;
from introduction and teaching of the syllabus, to the
successful running of the examinations. Before now, we have
had such experience with our Year 9 students, completing
their ‘Cambridge Checkpoint’ exams in May and more
importantly they all did exceptionally well.
The initial
promise that was given to you is: facilitating the school
transition for our multicultural students by
associating with an internationally recognized assessment
provider. Now that we have the eligibility to deliver
CIE programme and run the exams at our school, our next step
is to professionally develop our teaching personnel
following the CIE training programmes. Some teachers will
also become accredited assessors for delivering and marking
IGCSE and A/AS Level coursework. Others will be provided
with suitable tools for measuring students’ progress and
aiding in reporting to parents. All teachers will have
direct access to CIE Teacher Support website for clear
guidelines on teaching aspects, syllabuses, marking schemes
and the ability to communicate with other CIE centres around
the world. The advantages of becoming a CIE centre is
endless especially the benefits gained to meet our students
needs.
Future
EHISA is planning
to also offer Cambridge International Diplomas for its
students, of one is the ICT Starters for Key Stage 1, 2 and
3. Such diplomas will incur extra charges where parents will
be notified before the student is given the exam. CIE will
provide a diploma for each stage completed satisfactorily.
Website – another milestone
By end of June, parents and enquirers can visit EHISA
website as it contains all relevant information concerning
the services we offer, the teaching structure and school’s
curriculum. If you have any additional thoughts to include
on our website, please let us know.

School Fees
In the light of
previous hitches encountered with settlement of fees, the
procedure has changed for 2005/06. Parents are kindly asked
to settle Winter Term fees before end of July together with
the insurance and registration fees. This will also secure a
place for your child since the enrolment demand has
increased lately and will help you to avoid the ‘September
Rush’. As for the other term fees, please settle by end of
Winter Term and Spring Term. Reminders will be sent to
parents.
On a final note, I would like
to thank every one for their trust in us and their
assistance to elevate our teaching standards.
I wish all our
students and teachers a successful 2005/06 and have a safe
summer break.
Yours
sincerely,
Faysal
Boukamel
